Background
As the UX Autonomy Integration Lead at Brunswick Corporation, I led teams in designing seamless user experiences for autonomy systems, digital interfaces, and ACES technologies. I conducted user research for autonomous maritime systems, using interviews, concept testing, and ethnographic observations to shape design strategies. My work helped integrate users, vessel AI, and digital interfaces—earning multiple UX patents and positioning Brunswick as a leader in Marine UX Autonomy. As a Lead UX Researcher, I guided research for new boat models, brand development, and emerging technologies, playing a key role in projects like the award-winning Veer electric boat. I also helped develop a user research framework at Brunswick and enjoyed mentoring designers, researchers, and engineers in human-centered design and UX best practices.
My career includes significant roles at Ford, where I led the UX Future Vision Lead for Trucks, developing user journeys for the Ford Lightning and facilitating research workshops for the Maverick and Ranger. I worked closely with cross-functional teams to shape research strategies and analyze autonomous projects, driving innovation in future mobility solutions. And, as a UX Product Designer, leading UX research and design for the Global Data Insights and Analytics team, creating intuitive mobile, web, and omni-channel solutions that transformed complex data into user-friendly applications. I executed the full double-diamond design process and collaborated with cross-functional teams in an agile framework to develop product roadmaps, including a cost-optimization project that saved ~$2M.
I also worked as a UX Researcher Lead and Manager of the Inclusive Mobility Lab at the University of Michigan, where I guided students in conducting ethnographic research on transportation challenges for individuals with impairments. I developed teaching methodologies for cognitive accessibility, designed 3D-printed artifacts for motion capture, and created tutorials on transforming self-reported data into actionable insights.
Previously, I lived in Brazil where I have also been a UX Lead and Laboratory Manager at a Research Group on Technology Innovation, where the main goal was to develop educational games in different areas for local communities. I led projects focused on usability and manufacturing engineering, ensuring smooth lab operations, while conducting training sessions, creating tutorials and reports, and mentoring student groups in engineering projects, offering technical guidance and expertise.
There, I also worked as an Art Development Coordinator. I managed personnel, events, and activities related to arts, graphics, and printing. Including setting up temporary booths and organizing professional fairs and events. I designed and curated digital art portfolios, artworks, and printed media, overseeing production and installation to ensure high-quality execution and presentation. My internship was as a UX/UI designer for a yacht club, and I was a member of the UFPE Mini Baja (SAE International competition) team.
As a leader and strategist, I draw on a diverse skill set that span human-centered design, autonomy, electrification, and project management. My commitment to innovation and equality is evident in my involvement with Women Unlimited IMpower leadership program, Society of Women Engineers, Interaction Design Foundation, and my role as President of Women on Water, demonstrating my commitment to leadership and fostering inclusive environments.
My skills include resourcefulness, analytical thinking, emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and effective communication. I thrive in problem-solving, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and collaboration, embodying a proactive, perseverant, and organized work ethic.
